Honestly, it’s a proven fact that autumn is the best time during your undergrad days, There’s nothing like hitting the quad on your campus, with new notebooks, a fire outfit and most importantly, a fresh ‘do. This season also coincides with your college/university’s Homecoming, which means it’s the perfect opportunity to get noticed if you’re interested in joining any Greek-lettered organization offered on your campus. (S/o to the Divine 9.) During this time, you can easily spot the girls who are part of sororities on campus because they will be rocking the classic “Sorority Girl Blowout.”

What Is A “Sorority Girl” Blowout?

This hairstyle is wildly popular among college girls, alumni or all in-between, but most importantly, fresh off-the-block sorority girls — especially the girls that attend an HBCU.

The style features “blown-out” layered hair full of luster and body. You can wear it long or style it to be shoulder to chin-length. The original idea of the look is to serve sex and allure while in the stroll line or catching up with your long-lost undergrad friends while celebrating Homecoming Szn.

How to style the “Sorority Girl” Blowout?

First things first, make sure your hair is in good health. Opt for a fresh trim to ensure the layers are even and full if needed. You’ll need to style it with a round/paddle brush, but pass on the foam rollers as you don’t want to give off “Probate Hair” just grown woman, cultured inches.

When in doubt, there are an array of affordable wig styles that are easy to style in the way you want the hairstyle, especially if you’re in a rush and want to skip on styling products.
