DIY Designer Nicole McLaughlin Teases HOKA Collaboration

Introducing the HOKA MAFATE THREE2.

DIY designer Nicole McLaughlin just teased another impressive collaboration, this time lending her distinctive aesthetic to the silhouettes of HOKA. Teaming up to create a new iteration of the MAFATE THREE2, the hike-ready kicks offer a fusion between the MAFATE 2 and MAFATE 3, adding streetwear-inspired touches.

Complete with a quick-lace system and Vibram sole unit, the new shoes also feature a gaiter that transforms the kicks into a high-top silhouette. Landing in black and red with hits of red and neon green stitching, the new MAFATE features co-branding in the form of blue HOKA and Nicole McLaughlin tags.

Elsewhere, the shoe’s upper lands in gray and yellow, complete with black and white lines across the shoe. Rounding out the design is a sizeable sole unit, comprising red and yellow hues. For McLaughlin, the new collaboration comes not long after she revisited her Reebok heritage for a new Club C collab, as well as one-of-a-kind projects for Vault by Vans, Diemme and more.

Take a closer look at the teaser for the HOKA MAFATE THREE2 above, set to land as a regular, in-line silhouette on October 27, with McLaughlin’s collaborative take slated for release on November 3.
