Stephanie Hsu and Ashley Park Are Fake K-Pop Stars With Cocaine-Filled Condoms in New 'Joy Ride' Trailer
The raunchy comedy is co-produced by Seth Rogen.
The first official trailer for Joy Ride has been released, and it’s nothing short of entertaining. The film, which is produced by Seth Rogen and marks Adele Lim’s directorial debut, stars Stephanie Hsu, Ashley Park, Sherry Cola and Sabrina Wu as best friends on a one-of-a-kind adventure.
The official synopsis reads as follows: “Joy Ride is a hilarious and unapologetically explicit story of identity and self-discovery that centers on four unlikely friends who embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure. When Audrey’s (Ashley Park) business trip to Asia goes sideways, she enlists the aid of Lolo (Sherry Cola), her irreverent, childhood best friend who also happens to be a hot mess; Kat (Stephanie Hsu), her college friend turned Chinese soap star; and Deadeye (Sabrina Wu), Lolo’s eccentric cousin. Their no-holds-barred, epic experience becomes a journey of bonding, friendship, belonging, and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.”
Joy Ride will first premiere at SXSW; the film then hits theaters on July 7. Watch the trailer above.
