Love Stories Debuts Bridal Briefs Made From Upcycled Wedding Dresses
Your something old *and* something new.
Lingerie brand, Love Stories, has tapped Amsterdam-based designer Tess van Zalinge for an exclusive bridal edition of its signature “Lola” briefs.
Crafted from upcycled wedding gowns and vintage veils, the new briefs aim to merge the concepts of old and new, staying true to the traditional wedding saying of “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Each brief in the 100-piece collection is complete with a hand-stitched label in blue thread, aiming to provide “something blue” as well as old and new.
The brand’s latest work with Zalinge follows a longstanding relationship, one empowered by the concept of sustainable design and the use of vintage materials.
“I love to think that our upcycled Lola briefs are keeping wedding heirlooms, memories and craftsmanship in motion,” says Love Stories’ founder and creative director, Marloes Hoedeman, in a press release. “It’s been inspiring to work with Tess — who has a conscious awareness of her craft — and celebrate sustainability in lingerie. Whether you wear the briefs for your own wedding night or spoil a friend with a memorable bachelorette gift, the briefs have a modern-vintage feel that’s feminine and beautiful.”
Only 100 pairs of one-of-a-kind Love Stories x Tess van Zalinge briefs will be available for purchase from the brand’s website from March 29.
