The ‘Wicked: For Good’ Trailer Has Everyone in Tears

Stay tuned for the film’s release November 21, 2025.

Wicked: For Good has been the hot topic since part one wrapped — oh, that and Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande‘s growing friendship. At this year’s CinemaCon, Elphaba (played by Erivo) and Glinda (played by Grande) revealed the trailer for part two. Little did we know, the trailer would leave every fan in tears.

“As soon as Ariana started singing ‘For Good,’ the tears started pouring,” one Wicked fan commented underneath the trailer. Another added, ”I just watched the Wicked: For Good trailer. I’m crying.” It’s not just them, either. According to TODAYthe sneak peek reached 113 million views in its first 24 hours. The first Wicked film, for reference, reached 75 million views.

As USA Today reported from CinemaCon, “Grande teased that her character has to ‘look at her reflection to figure out what it means to be Glinda the Good’ – and also shouted out the concession workers at a South Florida Cinemark – while Erivo said Elphaba ‘has to learn how to use her powers for the betterment of good in exile.’” Producer Marc Platt added that viewers can expect “more complexity” from both characters, as well.

The cast of Wicked consists of Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard and Ethan Slater as Boq. Wicked Part 1 is slated to premiere on November 21, 2025.

Take a look at the trailer above and stay tuned for the U.S. premiere on November 21, 2025.

In the meantime, take a look back at Grande’s Wicked memory as she recalled being “halfway done” with the film franchise.
