Byredo's "Remembrance" Eyeshadow Palette Addresses the Simple Feeling of Past, Present and Future Memories

An 18-color palette of breathtaking hues.

Byredo returns with a makeup launch that evokes the beautiful feeling of memory with its ‘Remembrance” Eyeshadow Palette.

The 18-color eyeshadow palette is the perfect blend of makeup’s past and present. It reflects the emotion one may feel while doing their beat — all purposely designed by Lucia Pica, Byredo’s Creative Image and Makeup Partner. “Remembrance” comprises soft, creamy and lightweight textures that create a “second skin” on the eyes or wherever you see fit to place them. Disparate shades of nudes, browns and roses are infused with hints of gilded gold and silvered shine throughout the pan.

“In the palette, there are still the flesh tones, the warmth of skin, the glistening moistness, the same sense of a person as in my other projects, but it is also about how the mind works,” Pica says in a press release. “It is less in the moment and almost about the past and the future at once.”

For historical context, the “Remembrance” eyeshadow palette was designed by founder Ben Gorham and refers to Greek mythology for the packaging. Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory and mother of muses, is reflected on the mirrored steel casing.

Byredo’s “Remembrance” Eyeshadow Palette retails for $105 USD and is up for grabs via the brand’s website.
