Little Simz Stars in Vans' New "This Is Off the Wall" Campaign
“When I think of my style, fashion, and music, I believe it makes me who I am.”
Vans just enlisted the help of UK rapper Little Simz for its all-new “This Is Off the Wall” campaign for 2023.
Continuing the brand’s dedication to individuality and self-expression, the campaign also features a whole host of talents known for their contributions to their industry. Names like Beatrice Domond, Felipe Nunes, Irene Kim, Cocona Hiraka, Arthur Bray and Salome Agbaroji join the roster, aiming to empower the next generation of today’s creatives.
Visually, the campaign boasts bold color palettes and distorted visuals but still allows its newest footwear silhouette to be the star of the show. A “Knu Skool” take on its classic Old Skool design, the new sneaker offers a contemporary elevation on the popular style, adding a puffed-up tongue and ankle collar alongside suede uppers and new heel pulls.
Speaking about her appearance in the new campaign, Little Simz said, “Style to me is your source, your taste, your identity. When I think of my style, fashion, and music, I believe it makes me who I am. Simz the person, Simz the artist. It’s very reflective of my character and what I’m into. To be honest, I don’t really think it’s what you do, it’s how you do it.”
