Yayoi Kusama Takes Over David Zwirner NYC Gallery With Largest Exhibition Yet

Entitled, “I Spend Each Day Embracing Flowers.”

Renowned Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is set to amaze visitors with her largest exhibition yet, taking place in New York City. The collaboration with gallerist David Zwirner features three rooms showcasing Kusama’s most impactful work, including her trademark pumpkins, maximalist flower sculptures and an enchanting “Infinity Room.”

The exhibition also presents 35 new paintings featuring Kusama’s recognizable speckled decor, titled “EVERY DAY I PRAY FOR LOVE.” One of the highlights of the exhibition is the artist’s “Dreaming of Earth’s Sphericity, I Would Offer My Love” infinity room, one of her most extensive installations built inside an abstract box with geometrical windows that welcome natural light and a petite door opening.

The exhibition closes with Kusama’s monstrous flowers and signature pumpkins designed with exposed walkways for viewers to navigate. The showcase, located in Chelsea at West 19th Street, is open now and is expected to draw huge crowds eager to witness the work of the 94-year-old recognized artist. Take a look at part of the showcase in the gallery above.
