Aminé Teases His First-Ever New Balance 610 Collaboration

“A kid from Portland has his own sneaker.”

(UPDATE) August 18, 2023: Aminé‘s New Balance 610 sneaker is almost here as the banana-flavored shoe is expected to hit Club Banana’s online store on August 22.

For early birds, the highly-anticipated shoe is now available through a lottery system, which will be open today until Monday, August 21 on Aminé’s website. The lottery will be followed by a release via HBX and New Balance on August 25 for $160 USD.

(UPDATE) June 6, 2023: Aminé has revealed an intimate glance at his latest New Balance 610, “The Mooz” collaboration. The sneakers feature brown and yellow uppers, nodding to the banana crates in the advertisement imagery. Meanwhile, an eye-catching snowglobe bears a “610” badge painted in a glowing yellow, while a floating bunch of bananas bounce along the inside. Elsewhere, a dual-branded Aminé x New Balance logo sits on the tongues, positioned above a toggled lacing system.

Take a closer look below.

Following the release of his sonically soothing collaborative album KAYTRAMINÉ with the inimitable DJ Kaytranada earlier this month, Aminé is offering something for our feet as the rapper is releasing a collaboration with New Balance.

Having been featured in the sneaker brand’s campaigns as an ambassador in the past, the partnership should come as no surprise. While the upcoming launch’s silhouette is unknown, the artist has been seen wearing models like the 990v3, 2002R and 992, so it’s likely that he’ll be presenting his own perspective on one of his favorite designs. To announce the collaboration, Aminé posted a promo video of his billboard in his hometown, showcasing wooden crates overflowing with bananas next to the words, “A Kid From Portland Has His Own Sneaker.”

Stay tuned for more details on Aminé’s upcoming collaboration with New Balance.
