CLOT and Nike's Partnership Is Reportedly Coming to an End
As Edison Chen gears up to collaborate with adidas.
CLOT and Nike are reportedly going their separate ways, after multiple successful collaborations like the futuristic Dunk High silhouette, the multitude of CLOTEZ sneakers and most recently: the Cork Dunk collection.
Following their nearly two-decade-long partnership, Edison Chen’s label is rumored to be heading in a different direction, leaning towards a new partnership with adidas.
Given the continued popularity and sell-out success of CLOT’s previous Nike iterations, the news does seem strange, but as the brand approached its 20th anniversary, it’s clear that Chen is ready to make some serious changes. While neither party has officially acknowledged the news, early information was shared by sneaker insider @horhead_sales.
Sources claim that there’s still set to be one final collaborative Nike sneaker before the duo call it quits, likely to feature a “WHAT THE CLOT” colorway. Little else is known about the final sneaker, but we expect to see more details coming soon so watch this space.
