Diesel Invites You to the AllTogether Clubhouse for Pride 2023
A group exhibition and capsule collection celebrating gay and queer artists.
Diesel has once again rekindled its partnership with Tom of Finland Foundation, following a successful team-up for last year’s Pride. This time around, Diesel has joined forces with the foundation to create The AllTogether Clubhouse, a group exhibition and program of events taking place in New York’s West Village.
The partnership also includes a new Pride capsule collection, aiming to amplify messages of freedom, expression and sexuality, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community that is intrinsic to Diesel. Designed for all genders, the collection spotlights a series of artists from the foundation’s erotic and queer art collection, illustrating gay men “in moments of unabashed freedom and joy.”
Comprising 17 pieces, the capsule features T-shirts, denim silhouettes and jockstraps, with powerful images from the artists acting as prints and patchworks on the garments, with each one complete with a special canvas tape which features a quote from the artist.
Featuring artists like Stanley Stellar and Michael Mitchell, the collection draws inspiration from gay and queer culture and nightlife, arriving in the form of photographs from New York City clubs. Standout pieces include a pair of 5-pocket jeans screen printed with Stellar’s famous images of a gay couple, alongside a white hoodie with cotton patches of Mitchell’s erotic, pin-up illustrations and T-shirts featuring Tom of Finland’s iconic gay bar scenes.
