Johnny Depp Selects 5 Charities to Gift $1 Million USD Settlement
The settlement is from the domestic dispute with ex, Amber Heard.
After a highly controversial trial, former celebrity couple Amber Heard and Johnny Depp end tumultuous relationship with a nod to charity.
According to sources for CNN, “Depp has chosen the charities he plans to donate the $1 million settlement he’s owed from Heard stemming from their highly publicized defamation trial.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean star selected five charities to donate $200,000 USD to — each. The selected charities will give back to those within marginalized communities from children with life-altering medical conditions to indigenous lands. The charities are as follows: Make-A-Film Foundation, The Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Marlon Brando’s Tetiaroa Society charity, and the Amazonia Fund Alliance.
