Nike x Martine Rose's Gender-Fluid Collection Reimagines Football Dress Codes

Ready, steady… take my money.

There’s much to obsess about in Martin Rose and Nike’s highly-anticipated collaboration; it redefines men’s and women’s football styling, breaks traditional gender boundaries, offers gender-neutral tailored pieces and introduces new iterations of the Shox Mule MR 4 sneaker, which nod to the famously vibrant goalkeeper jerseys of the ’90s.

Specifically designed for elite footballers in this summer’s premier sporting event, the collection marks a new era for women’s football. It includes gender-free tailored player suits with a suit jacket, trousers, trench coat and shirt. Complementing the apparel are accessories like stockings, gloves, sunglasses and the latest Nike x Martine Rose Shox Mule MR 4 in three new colorways.

“When a woman wears a suit, it expresses strength, resilience and beauty,” comments Martine in the collection notes. “I want women to feel powerful in their suits as men do. Moreover, there’s no gender attached to the suit. Anyone can wear it. I hope one day we’re not talking about gender in sports; we’re just talking about the sport itself. When everything is stripped back, only the game remains.”

The collection launches on Martine Rose’s website on July 25, followed by a release on the SNKRS app and select specialty stores on July 27.
