Five days into Venus Retrograde, celebrity couple Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro have allegedly split. According to a former Billboard interview, the pair are “polar opposites in regards to their music and professional approach,” which may have caused them to fall out of love.
On a messier note, rumors have begun to circulate that Rauw cheated on Rosalía with influencer Valeria Duqueh. The same day the news broke, the Spanish singer broke down during her performance of “Hentai” at Lollapalooza. Despite the NSFW title, the breathy single is about transformation shared the artist in a former interview.
“If you notice, the lyrics revolve around the same concept: transformation,” she previously said in a statement about “SAOKO.” “Each and every phrase is an image of transformation. Just a few days before the announcement, Rosalía posted a photo of herself crying in an Instagram dump, with the caption referencing Motomamí. Unfortunately, the split also follows the March 2023 release of their EP RR which admittedly stamped the couple as quote-on-quote goals for creative couples worldwide.
