BIRKENSTOCK 1774 Gets the Tekla Treatment
Resulting in a cozy new collection of footwear and sleepwear.
BIRKENSTOCK just joined forces with Tekla, marking the design duo’s first-ever team-up. Made for “moments of comfort,” the cozy collection comprises the Stock’s signature footwear styles alongside Tekla’s classic sleepwear silhouettes.
Born from a shared love of quality and craftsmanship, the collection sees BIRKENSTOCK taking its first steps into the world of apparel while, similarly, Tekla makes its foray into footwear. “There is a natural synergy between BIRKENSTOCK and Tekla, with quality and craftsmanship central to what we do. We wanted to explore this further with a collection that looks at the idea of rest as a form of inspiration,” explains Tekla’s creative lead, Cristoffer Lundman.
Featuring BIRKENSTOCK’s Nagoya slip-on clog and Uji sandal, the collaboration adds elevated design details to the classic silhouettes, with each pair arriving in a slew of saturated colors of “Slate,” “Straw,” “Mauve” and “Powder.” BIRKENSTOCK’s signature cork footbed is drenched in luxurious shearling and finished with a smooth Nappa leather heel wrap. The collection also features a range of sleepwear silhouettes in coordinating colors.
