Jil Sander Delivers Futuristic Uniforms for SS24

For the contemporary corporate girl.

Jil Sander is reimagining uniform dressing for Spring/Summer 2024, presenting a curated collection of intriguing silhouettes. The sophisticated offering prevents oxford shirts and khakis from becoming boring with the help of thoughtful and inventive tailoring.

WHAT: While Jil Sander’s SS24 collection may be pared back in its color palette, the garments unabashedly evoke a commanding nature, introducing a new mode of minimalism to Milan Fashion Week.

WHO: Adwoa Aboah walked.

SAW: Possibly nodding to corporate dress codes, silver hole punches are the protagonists of the SS24 collection as the large metallic rings outline circular cut-outs on several garments, puncturing oversized grey vests and longline sleeveless shirts. Meanwhile, leather tassels invigorate sleek and simple dresses, elevating the average little black dress. There’s no need to throw your trench coat over your shoulders as trench coats come with handy arm slashes, joining belted shifts with built-in capes. The collection is not without a bit of humor as pet portraits adorn vibrant tunics. Snake print also enlivens the range, quickly slithering in and masquerading as a neutral as it arrives in the form of boots, outerwear and skirts.

TOUCH: Cotton, tweed and leather dominate the collection.

TASTE: Jil Sander’s SS24 collection infuses excitement and innovation into staple pieces, forcing us to rethink what office wear could look like. Courageous silhouettes invigorate classic ensembles as carefully placed slashes demonstrate considerate craftsmanship, while the collection’s silver circles add much-needed whimsy to otherwise elevated clothing.
