Pamela Anderson Has Given Up Makeup — And the Reason Will Tug at Your Heartstrings

The living legend has moved into her “fresh face” era — and rightfully so.

The impact Pamela Anderson has had on the beauty industry is undeniable. From her ’90s G-String updo that still has the girls in a chokehold to her pencil-thin eyebrows and sex-influenced makeup, it’s safe to say that she’s truly iconic. However, during Paris Fashion Week this year, we observed that Anderson appeared without makeup, and the reasons behind this decision are deeply emotional.

After appearing at several spring/summer 2024 fashion shows in Paris this week, the living legend has completely changed her makeup style. She has seemingly laid to rest the intense glam she is known for and embraced a more natural and minimalistic look. From all of the surfaced online images of Anderson over the week, she’s been more into the “fresh face” look. The only makeup that touched her skin was a barely noticeable application of rose-toned lip gloss, but there were no traces of foundation or eyeshadow in sight.

In January, Anderson’s documentary “Pamela: A Love Story” featured her appearing without any makeup and in an interview with Elle, she disclosed that her makeup artist, Alexis Voguel, tragically lost her life to breast cancer in 2019. As a result, Anderson explained that it feels more appropriate for her to forgo makeup without Alexis by her side.

Since then, Anderson has worked her way back into wearing makeup with the help of MUA Eileen Madrid, who has supported her transition into less glam. “Everyone already knows what Pamela looks like full glam,” Madrid told Elle, “Which is why she wanted to be raw and show the world her real, authentic face.”
