Salomon and Ray BEAMS are back with another dessert-inspired hit, officially revealing their first fully-customized footwear collaboration: the XT-Whisper “Cherry Cake Party.” Following the hype of their previous sweet-themed releases, the duo has reimagined the technical runner into a piece of pure eye candy.
Dressed in a sugary “Ice Pink” colorway, the sneaker balances trail-ready functionality with a playful, hyper-feminine aesthetic. The design starts with a breathable light-pink mesh base, serving as the “frosting” for the pair. Overlaid across the upper are sweeping synthetic cage panels in rich cherry pink and deep crimson, creating a layered visual texture reminiscent of decadent cake decorations.
To keep the sweetness grounded, sharp black detailing accentuates the heel counter and ankle collar, anchored by a matte black sole underneath. The striking clash between glossy overlays, airy mesh and dark technical tooling gives the silhouette a dimensional look that merges gorpcore with streetwear.
