Missoni SS24 "KALEIDOSCOPICA" Invites You To Wear the Rainbow

Delivering every color under the sun.

Celebrating its 70th anniversary, Missoni casts a rainbow over Milan Fashion Week for its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, “KALEIDOSCOPICA.” Creative Director Filippo Grazioli enlivens the label’s signature chevron pattern, painting it in a wondrous display of colors and weaving it into airy fabrics.

WHAT: “KALEIDOSCOPICA” lives up to its name as Missoni’s SS24 collection offers whimsical patterns juxtaposed by daring silhouettes. Pastels, sequins and rainbow-colored zig-zags immediately bring a sense of levity to the runway, an appropriate mood for the brand’s 70th birthday.

WHERE: The show took place in Milan’s La Pelota, surrounded by enormous silver spheres, reflecting a distorted, fun-house view.

WHO: Irina Shayk walked.

SAW: Missoni is clearly for the maximalists as its SS24 collection is beaming with every color of the rainbow — literally. The brand’s trademark geometrical print is giving a new life as sheer multi-colored dresses appear throughout, often altered with ruching at the waist, swirling the colors for a slightly psychedelic effect. Orange creamsicle iterations brighten the collection in the form of ruffled frocks and crochet maxis. Meanwhile, sequins are layered over the candy-colored garments, infusing them with an ethereal essence. Neutral lovers are not forgotten about as white monochromatic ensembles provide a respite. Oversized tinted eyewear adds an effortlessly cool aesthetic to the uber-saturated collection.

TOUCH: Sheer fabric, crochet knits and sequins are the main characters.

TASTE: Missoni is here to have fun and enjoy the sweetness of life, reimagining its classic chevron pattern through a kaleidoscope. Captivating colors, as well as playful shapes and textures result in a serotonin-boosting collection.
