Marni Turns G-SHOCK's Classic Wristwatch Into a Canvas

Marni and G-SHOCK just announced a new collaboration, teaming up to reinvent the classic wristwatch as an artistic canvas. Dubbed the GMD-S5610MA-7ER, the new silhouette draws from G-SHOCK’s roster of signature silhouettes, injected with Marni’s playful, hand-drawn aesthetic touch.
The new watch sees Marni’s distinctive logo transformed into a graphic motif, repeated on the case, bezel and strap in shades of black, white and red. The graphic design extends onto the watch packaging, resulting in a hypnotic pattern that reimagines the typical design.
Shock-resistant and water-resistant for up to 200 meters, the new watch is crafted from bio-based resin and includes a battery with a lifespan of three years. Finished with a protective layer of mineral glass, the watch also boasts a multi-function alarm, fully automatic calendar, countdown timer with a flash alert and an hourly time signal, plus the “Super Illuminator LED” backlight for extra readability.
