Art On a Postcard Is Back With Its Annual International Women's Day Auction

Here’s a look at the artists involved.

Art On a Postcard is set to return for its fifth annual International Women’s Day Auction, this time spotlighting eight female guest curators. With all proceeds going to the Hepatitis C Trust, specifically supporting the work they do with women affected by the criminal justice system, the auction will see a variety of postcard-sized works up for grabs.

Taking place over the course of two weeks, the event will also include eight mini auctions, each platforming a differing selection of female artists whose works have been translated and reimagined into postcard form. This year’s line-up is set to include “All About Art” podcast host Alexandra Steinacker-Clark, alongside Flora Bradwell, Eva Dixon, Gemma Peppe, Vanessa Murrell, Cura Art, Jo McLaughlin and Vittoria Beltrame.

“I’m so proud of all the curators who’ve given their time and expertise to the auction. The artists they have got on board are so interesting and talented. The Trust do the most inspirational work within women’s prisons and over time the programmes they have put together that follow being incarcerated are not only innovative but so compassionate. It’s wonderful that women in art come together to help women who are in need. Getting back their lives and self-respect is all possible when the support is there,” says Gemma Peppé in a press release.

Take a look at a selection of the works above, available for bidding via The Auction Collective on February 27.
