Step Into the Studio With Jisoo and self-portrait
The new campaign spotlights the brand’s newest ambassador.
Back in March, self-portrait announced BLACKPINK member Jisoo as its newest brand ambassador for Spring/Summer 2024, following in the footsteps of Emily Ratajkowski, Naomi Campbell and Gigi Hadid. The ambassadorship marked the first time that the brand had worked with a musician and the first project from Jisoo since launching her own independent label, BLISSOO.
Now, Jisoo is back for the next instalment, this time capturing the artist in a recording studio in Seoul. Spotlighting self-portrait’s new Pre-Fall collection, the new campaign features pieces chosen by Jisoo herself and aims to showcase her distinctive style and character.
“What I have come to discover through working with Jisoo is that she is a real chameleon and loves to experiment with her wardrobe. We decided to shoot her in a recording studio — a place where she feels at home and comes to life — to capture her at her most authentic self. Her selection of off-duty denim and relaxed twinset knits to fun partywear and evening gowns shows the full spectrum of her own personal style and felt like a diary of a pop star,” says founder Han Chong.
Showing us a day in the life of a pop star, the campaign sees Jisoo wearing taffeta mini-dresses, soft denim pieces and a delicate knitted two-piece, in hues of red and black. To celebrate the campaign, self-portrait will be hosting a series of pop-ups and installations across Seoul and London.
