SKIMS Stands the Test of Time in Its First-Ever TV Commercial

Starring founder Kim Kardashian.

SKIMS is back with another striking visual release, this time taking to TV screens everywhere to debut its first-ever commercial. Appearing during the Oscars red carpet coverage, the new release sees founder Kim Kardashian transporting us to an “out-of-this-world” universe where SKIMS products undergo rigorous wear-testing.

Set inside a SKIMS Lab on a ship in outer space, the commercial transforms Kardashian into a chief engineer and scientist who, along with her “Klones,” works tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of SKIMS does exactly what it says on the tin. From testing its wearability and durability to overall smoothness, Kardashian and her klones were filmed over the course of three days.

“With this being our first-ever made for TV campaign, we really wanted to bring viewers into the SKIMS universe and create a film about our brand story and obsession with product development in a witty, yet extravagant way,” says Kim Kardashian in a press release. “It was great working with Frank [Lebon] on this—his unique creativity and talent for storytelling really shined through. I am really proud of what we created together.”

Take a look at the first-ever SKIMS TV commercial above, and head to the brand’s website to shop its extensive portfolio of products.
