Metalwood Studio Reinvents the adidas Gazelle
First spotted at Paris Fashion Week.
First debuted at Paris Fashion Week in June, Cole Young’s Metalwood Studio has reinvented the adidas Gazelle silhouette. Showcased at an event with adidas Skateboarding, the new kicks feature a brown camouflage base and matching sock-liner, complete with rough, black/grey suede overlays across the forefoot.
Elsewhere, the distinctive collaboration sports clean black leather Three Stripes and a blank heel tab, finished by golden “METALWOOD” text across the lateral side. Finally, the shoe boasts golden tongue branding and a semi-translucent dark gum sole.
For Young and Metalwood, the collaboration with adidas follows a long list of team-ups with golfers and golf-inspired footwear — namely brands like Del Toro and FootJoy — with this release potentially ushering in a different era for the brand.
Take a look at the new kicks above, releasing via Metalwood’s online store today at 2pm EDT.
In other footwear news, Ganni and New Balance recently revived the T500 silhouette with artistic collaborations.
