Story MFG and Suicoke Say Puffy Shoes Are In
The perfect Fall/Winter 2024 collab.
Born in Brighton, Story MFG has built a reputation for creating the most beautiful and sustainable pieces with a focus on natural processes, using natural fibers and earth material dyes like leaves, flowers, fruit and even sunlight. The eco and natural clothing brand has collaborated with Tokyo-based footwear label, Suicoke, renowned for its rugged outdoorsy strap sandals that perfectly complement the brand’s earthy sustainable ethos.
This is the first time the two brands have come together, with their first collaborative project arriving in perfect timing for the Fall/Winter 2024 season. Story MFG has reimagined two classic Suicoke models: the “BOWER-TRab-ECO,” a puffy boot-like shoe and the “PEPPER-TRab-ECO,” a shoe-like clog. The Brighton-based brand has infused its signature touch, incorporating hand-dyed and woven in Thailand fabrics to create a hyper-textured result to resist the winter weather. “A year after development, we crafted a jacket using this fabric and knew immediately that it would make a great pair of shoes.” Story MFG says in a press release.
Both shoe models have been crafted with a biodegradable “Vibram ECOSTEP EVO” outsole and have an 83% recycled Thinsulate lining, with Story MFG’s “GOTS-dyed indigo beads” in the lacing of both models.
The collaboration pieces are available from September 27 via Suicoke and Story MFG’s website.
