Story mfg. and P.F Flyers Give the High-Top an Artisanal Makeover

The perfect eco-conscious sneaker drop.

Get ready to upgrade your sneaker rotation with the perfect slow-fashion drop. P.F Flyers is teaming up with British cult-favorite sustainable label Story mfg. for a dreamy, limited-edition take on the iconic All-American High-Top, and it’s everything our eco-conscious wardrobes have been wishing for.

Both brands are famous for doing things the thoughtful way, fusing P.F Flyers’ heritage with Story mfg.’s signature hand-crafted aesthetic. Bringing two worlds from opposite sides of the pond together, the duo served up two high-tops that wear in, not out.

The collection features two stunning colorways crafted from handwoven textiles created by home weavers in Thailand. First up is the “Wobbly Waffle,” a textured masterpiece combining real indigo-dyed yarns with homegrown, naturally brown cotton. No two panels are identical, giving every pair a one-of-a-kind feel. Then there’s the “Indigo Handloom,” made from plant-dyed indigo cloth that softens and fades beautifully over time, getting better the longer you wear it.

Hand-loomed, plant-dyed fabrics are one in a million in footwear, and this collab is a true labor of love between two brands dedicated to craft, conscious fashion and unique style.

Lucky Londoners can catch an exclusive workshop at Story mfg.’s London Fields studio on August 8, complete with custom zines.

For the rest of the world, the shoes officially drop online starting August 10 via the Story mfg. and P.F Flyers websites, followed by select retailers on August 14.

In other news, Havaianas just reinvented the flip flop at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
