TikTok’s Icy Glam Makeup Trend, Explained

As the temperatures drop, influencers are embracing the icy glam trend — a frosty, eye-focused look that captures the chill of winter. This look is all about highlighting the eyes with shimmering, cool-toned shades that mirror the snow outside, so you can confidently say, “Baby, it’s cold outside,” with every wink.
Here’s how to achieve the look, inspired by TikTok creator Mikayla Nogueira.

First, start by applying a makeup primer to the eyelids to create a smooth base. Next, using an eyeshadow brush, sweep a soft pink shade across the lid and deepen the crease with a rich mauve. For added depth, brush a darker brown-red hue to the crease, blending it out to transition the color. After this, layer the initial pink shade over the top of the crease to soften the look. To intensify the outer corner, apply an espresso-brown eyeshadow to create a smoky effect. To ensure your sparkle stays on, use a glitter topper and press a silvery, sparkly shade onto the lid with your finger to make the eyes pop.
To blend it all, move your eyeshadow brush in between the outer shade and glitter together. To make the eyes appear larger, line the waterline with white eyeliner and then create a winged effect with liquid eyeliner. If you’d like, finish with false lashes like Nogueira. To complete the look, smoke out the bottom lash line with the same eyeshadow shades used on the top.
