Bottega Veneta's New Fragrance Collection Is Inspired by Its Venetian Heritage

The collection includes three new scents: “Hinoki,” “Goodmorning Midnight” and “Almost Dawn.”

Bottega Veneta has just unveiled its new “Mezzanotte” fragrance collection. The lineup brings us three perfumes inspired by wood notes. Among the new additions there’s “Hinoki,” “Goodmorning Midnight” and “Almost Dawn.” Harping on the brand’s previous fragrance collection, the new scents are said to contain “essences from around the globe woven together into unique fragrance expressions.”

The three scents from the “Mezzanotte” collection all claim to be deep and rich. “Hinoki” in particular has notes of fir balsam, hinoki wood and patchouli for a scent described as sophisticated and soothing. Meanwhile, “Goodmorning Midnight” is rich and playful with notes of Thai oud, rose and wild strawberry. Rounding out the collection, “Almost Dawn” is intimate and bright with notes of chestnut, truffle and vanilla. Similarly to the house’s inaugural fragrance collection, the perfumes are a modern take on ancient ingredients.

Although the fragrance notes are from all over the world, the collection’s design in particular spotlights Bottega Veneta’s Italian heritage. The perfumes are encased in glass bottles made from materials in Venice — which are a tribute to traditional Murano glassblowing. Beyond that, the bottle’s marble base takes direct inspiration from the walls, floors and facades of Venetian churches and palazzi.

The three-piece “Mezzanotte” fragrance collection retails for $490 USD each on the brand’s website.
