Courrèges Turned Its Runway Into a Rising Thermometer For SS26

And it got hot.

Creative director Nicolas Di Felice staged his Spring/Summer 2026 Courrèges collection as a literal heatwave at Paris Fashion Week, starting at 21 degrees celsius and ending at a scorching 30. With each temperature shift, came a change in mood, colorway and texture. What began in frosted blues, creams and pale transparencies soon softened into fluid silhouettes and molten accessories.

The scenography itself echoed the heat. The traditional square runway was reshaped into a circle, designed with Remy Brière and Matiere Noire to mimic the sun’s path. Guests including Emma Chamberlain and Kim Petras were invited with sunglasses, a hint that they’d need protection. The soundtrack, composed by Di Felice and Erwan Sene,  also rose with the imagined temperature, as the speakers played “It’s 21 degrees, the sun is rising.”

By 24 degrees, swimsuits were integrated into dresses with deep cutouts. At 26 degrees, utility staples like safari jackets were introduced. Sportswear pieces were rolled, twisted, and undone, as if reshaped by heat.

The final climax arrived at 30 degrees. Mini belts expanded into full looks made from plant-based vinyl washed in sunset and dune tones. Silhouettes bleached into near-white, like fabric left too long in the sun. Jersey, silk and sequined dresses constructed from sunshade frames doubled as anti-UV armor. As a final nod to the collection’s name “Blinded by The Sun,” the lights rose in the finale walk, pushing the audience toward near-blindness under the saturated light.
