David Koma SS26 Takes Us to a "Mythical Forest" of Femininity

Transforming “botanical muses” into runway-ready creations.

Not long after the designer presented a beautiful collection for Blumarine in Milan, David Koma just dropped his Spring/Summer 2o26 collection with a new lookbook. Transporting us to a “mythical forest clearing,” SS26 explores themes of femininity, life and otherworldly beauty.

Acting as a celebration of life, the new visuals reposition plants as architecture, selecting a slew of “botanical muses” and translating their design details into dress. Inspired by the lines of Mexican cactus dahlias, Brazilian bromeliads and South African birds of paradise, the collection explores the boundaries between light and dark, seduction and threat and fragility and resilience.

Characterized through sharp cut-outs, sheer fabrics and ornamental design details, the collection is crafted from delicate mesh, glossy satin and fringed silks, elevated with structured accents like bungee cord cinching and feathering. According to the brand, the new collection “transforms women into half-goddess creatures.”

Replicating the beauty of nature through embellished details, this season’s offering is injected with black patent leather leaves and crystals that wrap around the body, along with flower-sprouting hemlines and crystal corn husk earrings and necklaces.

Take a look at the new offering above and head to the David Koma website for more information.
