The Adidas ADISTAR CONTROL 5 Is Back And Built for Everyday Style

Available in six new colorways.

Adidas just dropped a new and improved ADISTAR CONTROL 5, giving one of the brand’s signature running shoe lines a streetwear update. ADISTAR is a relic from decades past, beginning as a track spike before Y2K turned it on its head. The original CONTROL 5 was a perfectly-cushioned running shoe designed for comfort and ease on a long distance jog. Reinvented almost 20 years later for the era of dad sneakers and Strava, the ADISTAR CONTROL 5 is officially a fashion staple.

The sneakers arrive in three neutral colorways, void of the neon yellows and bright blues synonymous with running. Instead, the shoes are made for versatile styling alongside your essentials in shades of black, white and beige. Not straying too far from the ADISTAR’s origins, reflective details on the upper are a reminder that before the makeover, this was indeed a running shoe.

The new ADISTAR CONTROL 5 is available to purchase now on the adidas website and select retailers.

In other news, the new Aries and Salomon collaboration reimagines hiking footwear.
