Demna's Second Gucci Collection Has Landed
Introducing “Generation Gucci.”
Demna just presented his second collection for Gucci, launching in the form of a lookbook dubbed “Generation Gucci.” Lensed by the designer himself, this season’s concept aims to showcase an “imaginary Gucci show” that never actually took place.
Delving deep into the House’s archives and its previous eras, including the Gucci by Tom Ford era, the new Pre-Fall 2026-27 collection reimagines classic Gucci codes through the lens of Demna. Presented ahead of the designer’s first collection in February next year, the new release acts as a teaser for what’s to come.
Featuring lightweight tailoring and travel suits in archival silk, along with classic Gucci pencil skirts and leather jackets, the collection also offers sartorial womenswear styles with minimal clasps instead of button closures. Elsewhere, standout silhouettes include a surfer wetsuit, a leopard-print coat and web stripe racer jackets.
Leaning into luxury and decadence, the collection is crafted from materials like silk, goat hair, feathers and suede, taking inspiration from ’70s and ’90s House signatures. Pairing fur coats with silk blouses, fluid jersey gowns with leather jackets and sheer linings, the collection offers a perfect blend of party looks, timeless styles and seasonal hues.
Completing the offering is a selection of Demna-fied accessories and footwear, including Valigeria-inspired ballerinas, loafers with metal spikes and the Jackie 1961.
