Salomon Celebrates 20 Years of the ACS PRO
With a sneaker inspired by an unreleased model from 2005, and a city-wide treasure hunt.
It’s an important birthday for all the gorpcore girlies out there. Salomon is celebrating 20 years of the ACS Pro, one of the brand’s signature trail heritage silhouettes, with a special edition sneaker.
These kicks need to be on your radar, bringing fashion and function together for the obsessors, collectors and newcomers alike. The ACS Pro has built its legacy through standout collaborations with brands including MM6 Maison Margiela and worn by celebs like Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner and Lil Yachty, taking it from a high-performance trail model to a symbol of urban culture.
If you’re a diehard sneaker collector, you’ll know about the rarity of sample pairs. These highly sought-after samples often feature slight design differences and are extremely limited in quantity, instantly achieving “grail” status. This new anniversary edition’s colorway draws inspiration from an unreleased sample, dating back to 2005, making it a piece of design history. The OG sample also inspired the campaign’s creative direction, with the rollout connecting back to the idea of a “sample shoe,” highlighting its experimental roots and the story that inspired the release.
To celebrate the anniversary, Salomon is creating an immersive city-wide experience. The brand is hiding unique winning codes in New York, Paris and Mexico City, which will unlock your own “ACS PRO 20 Year Anniversary” or a mysterious reward. The activation is turning the streets into a live treasure hunt, with the sneaker becoming a moment of celebration and unique connection.
