Nike and Vaquera Launch a Lipstick-Stained Air Max Dn8 Sneaker
Saying “xoxo” with a campaign fronted by New York Liberty’s Natasha Cloud.
Mistletoe is everywhere and New Year’s kisses are around the corner, so Nike and Vaquera’s new sneaker smooch-filled collaboration shouldn’t come as any surprise. Dropping their first-ever shoe together, the Air Max Dn8 gets a romantic makeover this winter, taking codes from Vaquera’s latest collection and marrying them with Nike’s innovation.
Vaquera’s take on the Air Max Dn8 is a crisp, white sneaker with a flirtatious twist. Ruby red kisses decorate the shoe from top to bottom, leaving no space unmarked. A matching red Nike Swoosh blends in seamlessly amongst the lipstick, with the only interruption being dual-branded Air Max and Vaquera logos on the tongue.
Bringing the romance of Vaquera’s lingerie and lipstick-embellished garments, the finished product is a shoe that is equal parts comfort, technology and whimsy. With a campaign covered in red lipstick, the brands tapped New York Liberty’s Natasha Cloud to launch the newest member of the Air Max family. Bringing the drop full-circle, the WNBA star is styled in Vaquera Spring/Summer 2026 and, of course, a trophy.
