Stella McCartney Declares 2026 the "Year of the Horse"
Launching the brand’s Fall 2026 collection, inspired by the designer’s parents and her love of animals.
Stella McCartney is looking ahead to the Fall 2026 season, launching a brand new campaign that celebrates the core of Stella. Referencing the designer’s creative evolution, heritage and love of animals, the new release is dubbed “the Year of the Horse,” and celebrates the designer’s equestrian spirit.
Landing in an earthy color palette, the new collection fuses archive textures and heritage prints with Savile Row-inspired tailoring. It wouldn’t be a Stella McCartney collection without a sustainable approach at the heart, so this season’s collection is crafted from 98% responsible materials, completely free of leather, fur, skins and feathers.
Revisiting the brand’s GOTS-certified organic cotton, responsibly-sourced wool and ECONYL, the collection also features “forest-friendly viscose” and acetate.
Taking inspiration from the shared wardrobes of her parents, the collection favors sharp shoulders, double-breasted coats and deadstock heritage checks, styled with plenty of layering and clashing for a contemporary feel. Elsewhere, the collection includes draped dresses, oversized cardigans crafted from recycled cashmere, corduroy-denim hybrids and a statement “HORSE GIRL” tank top that we can’t wait to see plastered all over Instagram.
Completing the offering is a series of signature bags and footwear, including the Appaloosa, the Ryder and of course, the Falabella, reimagined with lead-free crystals and eyelets. The nostalgic Elyse Platforms make a comeback this season, along with Falabella chain pumps and an updated take on the S-Wave sneaker.
