Slam Dunk or French Fry? Angel Reese Brings Her A-Game to McDonald's

Named “The Angel Reese Special.”

Angel Reese is on fire right now and her latest partnership shows she’s not slowing down any time soon. The 22-year-old is partnering with America’s multi-national fast food chain, Mcdonald’s. This not only marks its first-ever meal collaboration with a female athlete, but according to the press release, it’s the player’s “dream come true to be a part of McDonald’s amazing basketball legacy.”

The announcement hit Instagram, where Reese and McDonald’s revealed “The Angel Reese Special” — a limited-edition meal that includes a BBQ Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese, fries and a drink.

Guillaume Huin, Senior Marketing Director at McDonald’s, shared on X that this partnership is more than just fast food. “The campaign will be filled with subtle and respectful nods to the past,” he explained, “it will pay homage to the long history and collective moments McDonald’s and basketball share together.”

This isn’t Reese’s first partnership. In Fall 2023, she signed a multi-year deal with Reebok and 2024 saw the collaboration take off with the release of her signature shoe, as well as Reese’s first footwear and apparel collection, “Reebok by Angel.”

Last summer, the basketball star also teamed up with the candy brand Reese’s, which marked its first official partnership with a WNBA player. At first glance, it seemed like a strange match, but the sports star’s fans (affectionately known as “Reese’s Pieces”) quickly made it clear why the alliance made perfect sense.

“The Angel Reese Special” will be offered at participating U.S. McDonald’s locations starting February 10, available while supplies last.
