Playboi Carti Confirms 'I Am Music' Release Date
It’s closer than you think…
Musician Playboi Carti confirms his upcoming album is officially ready — and releasing March 14.
“MY ALBUM DONE,” the Atlanta rapper posted to his Instagram stories. Following over a year of teasing his new album, I Am Music, there’s finally an end in sight.
Truthfully, no one’s fans go harder than Playboi Carti’s male fans and frankly, his style of music transcends a gendered audience as every baddie loves him. But his fanbase has been growing tired of his coming soon updates, making this week’s announcement all the more hype worthy.
According to a shared text thread with his producer Wheezy, the project will sample Jay Z’s iconic 2001 single, “Girls, Girls, Girls.” As for the album’s remaining singles, Carti teased a few at the 2024 Miami Rolling Loud festival, including an unreleased single, “Ketamine.” He jokingly shared at the time, “Every song I’m on is my song,” further building the hype.
In 2024, Hypebeast reported that the album would be produced by Ye. However, no updates have been shared regarding this following the Chicago rapper’s recent run. At the time, he also teased that I Am Music will not host any features. “I’m trying to do this by myself,” he closed.
Stay tuned for updates.
