Megan Thee Stallion Releases New Single "Whenever"
Here’s everything we know about the single.
From Queen Latifah cameos to insane choreography with Victoria Monét, Megan thee Stallion is pulling out all the stops this chapter. In a newly released single, the Houston rapper remains true to her down south roots.
Titled “Whenever,” the new track was first teased at Week 2 of Coachella. Despite teasing the single a week before its release, she kept everything but the beat a surprise. “What can we expect tonight, sister?” a fan wrote. She replied, “I don’t even want to say anything. I just want you to be surprised.”

Ahead of the release, the rapper took to Twitter to confirm a fan theory. “It’s giving Salvador Dali? The Persistence of Memory?” regarding the promo artwork. The Stallion immediately chimed in with lightbulbs signifying he was correct. As the fan stated, “It looks like we’ll have another best Hot Girl Production music video contender.”

The single cover art carries the same signature as her 2019 mixtape, Fever. With hit singles, “Sex Talk” and ”Cash Shit,” the project became a fan-favorite for its raunchy delivery. Six years later, Megan thee Stallion returns — this time hinting at her Fever flow — now with a Salvador Dali and somehow still Houston-coded release.
