Rains Celebrates "Forever" at Its New Headquarters in Denmark

The Danish outerwear brand unveiled its FW25 collection, dubbed “Forever,” inside its 6,000 square meter warehouse.

When it Rains, it soars in Aarhus, Denmark. For its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Danish outerwear company Rains welcomed guests to its new headquarters to celebrate both the opening of its forever home as well as a decade in business. Co-founder Daniel Brix Hesselager says simply: “It had to be Aarhus. Its weather was the driving factor to launch Rains. It’s where we learned endurance and how to apply it to create rainwear. It’s the truest representation of our brand.”

The collection, titled “Forever,” is a message of resilience — as a brand and as an apparel offering. “We don’t have a specific timeline, we’re looking into forever,” co-founder Philip Lotko tells Hypebae. “Forever also materializes in long lasting silhouettes and everlasting materials. Forever is state of mind.”

The FW25 collection demonstrates Rains’ expertise at the intersection of function and Scandinavian aesthetics. Continuing its mission of reinterpreting traditional rainwear, the Rains design team was tasked with the question: “How do we weather difficult moments and stay true to ourselves?” The answer, they found, is in blending contrasts. Soft textural fleece is paired with durable PU material, earthy pastels meet jet black hues and traditional waterproof materials transform with voluptuous draping, mismatched proportions and ruched structures.

Home to 160 staff members, the brand’s new headquarters is a testament to its heritage and the climate in which its outwear pulls inspiration. Designed by architecture firm SLETH, the 11,000 square meter building is half warehouse, half office. Built with primarily glass walls, the warehouse becomes the backdrop to the office and creates an open window into the happenings across departments. As for the CMF, a singular grey Pantone color coats the whole space, even including the smoke alarms. All lines in the building flow in the same direction, from light fixtures to shelving and an inner atrium ensures light reaches all corners of the building alongside a rainwater-fed living wall. The Rains team also collaborated with artist Alexander Kirkeby who made the chandelier at the entrance of the building as well as Niko June for its seating in the cafeteria space.
