The 2025 Met Gala brought fashion‘s most anticipated night to life with an equally show-stopping display of beauty. As always, the star-studded event proved to be the ultimate playground for boundary-pushing style, where the glam became an extension of the couture on the red carpet. Over the years, the event has delivered unforgettable moments — including Gigi Hadid‘s frosted silver lashes for “Camp,” Rihanna‘s radiance for “Heavenly Bodies” and even Kim Kardashian‘s wet hair and bronzed skin during “Manus x Machina.”
This year, the theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” celebrated Black fashion’s legacy, with co-chairs A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour leading the way. From Doechii to Teyana Taylor, the beauty was expressive, unique and its own individual masterpiece.

Rihanna
Rihanna debuted her third pregnancy in Marc Jacobs, serving a beautiful glow, courtesy of Fenty Beauty. Her MUA, Priscilla Ono, started with a luminous and contoured base, coral cheeks and a dusty-pink lip.
Doechii
Donning an afro and a Louis Vuitton logo on her cheeks, Doechii did what she does best and delivered a look that was equal parts avant-garde and unapologetic.
Emma Chamberlain
Emma Chamberlain stunned with a wispy pixie cut and sultry, wine-toned makeup. She wore flushed crimson cheeks and a light red lip that tied everything together. Her stylist, Sami Knight, wanted to give Chamberlain an edge. “For soft, effortless volume that I could manipulate into punky spikiness, I used the Function of Beauty‘s ‘Zero Gravity’ Mousse,” Knight said in a press statement. “Its cloud-like foam texture allows for flexible hold without ever feeling stiff or crunchy.”
LaLa Anthony
Delivering regal elegance, LaLa Anthony pulled her hair back into a sculptural updo, letting her glowing skin and matte lips take center stage.
Teyana Taylor
Teyana Taylor never does subtle and her look at the Met Gala proved it — she paired burgundy smokey eyes with a red durag, balancing softness and edge.
Zendaya
Zendaya‘s glam team was inspired by the era of ’90s supermodels, crafting her makeup with Charlotte Tilbury. Her MUA, Ernesto Casillas, painted on that signature runway lip with the brand’s “Super Nudes Shapewear Lip Cheat Duo” for a contouring effect and added plump and shine with the “Big Lip Plumpgasm” Lip Plumper in “Nudegasm Diamonds.”
Sha’Carri Richardson
Sha’Carri Richardson brought her flair to the Met Gala with her signature ornate nail extensions and a sweep of dreamy lilac eyeshadow, embodying a look that screamed ethereal beauty.

Wearing head-to-toe Chanel inspired by Coco herself, Jennie‘s beautiful and simple makeup channeled classic Parisian elegance — soft eyes, rosy cheeks and a petal-pink lip let her natural beauty shine through.
Simone Biles
A true makeup enthusiast, Simone Biles kicked off her Met Gala prep with a full-body skincare session courtesy of Murad. “I always say that full glam starts with body prep,” her MUA, Ashley Stewart, shared in a press statement. “I used Murad’s “Retinal Resculpt” Body Treatment on Simone from the neck down [...] to instantly hydrate and visibly firm. It’s like shapewear in a bottle.”
Megan Thee Stallion
Inspired by performer Josephine Baker, celebrity hairstylist Kellon Deryck utilized brushes from Tangle Teezer to style Megan Thee Stallion‘s bedazzled updo. “[I] teased her deep-wave ponytail and smoothed it,” Deryck said in a press statement. He described the look as “strong and powerful.”
Valentina Ferrer
Model Valentina Ferrer wanted to represent the women of the Second World War while wearing a polka dot dress from Marc Jacobs. Before walking the carpet, she was prepped with a facial from Augustinus Bader and Lord Gavin, sculpting her face for the debut. “For Valentina’s look, Marc had requested to pull inspiration from the iconic Veronica Lake, whose glamorous persona and ‘peekaboo’ wave became a symbol of resilience and feminine independence during the difficult time of WW2,” her stylist, Davey Matthews, said in a press statement. All products used were from the haircare brand milk_shake.
Doja Cat
Doja Cat worked with none other than Pat McGrath to bring the fashion sketch to life. “Doja’s look was [...] something both animated and architectural. The winged eye was sculpted using ‘PermaPrecision’ Liquid Eyeliner with a nod to the ’40s and ’50s, paired with pastel lids using “Mothership XII: Petalmorphosis” and finished with perfectly structured skin and red lip using ‘Dramatique Mega’ Lip Pencil in ‘Garnet Glow,’” McGrath said in a press statement. “A true study in contrast — soft yet graphic, classic yet otherworldly.”
Serena Williams
Serena Williams was a vision in cerulean, her hair slicked into glossy finger waves — a nod to the popular hairstyle that ruled the ’20s and ’30s.
Gigi Hadid
Gigi Hadid stunned the Met carpet with something a little more vintage. Her hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, delivered a pulled-back hairdo that matched the caliber of her custom gold Miu Miu dress. “[It] was so elegant and striking — I wanted to complement it with something timeless. We landed on boudoir curls (or victory rolls) inspired by the ’40s that felt both glamorous and modern,” Giannetos said in a press statement.
Charli XCX
Adorned in black feathers, our favorite Brat, Charli XCX, continues to work her dark glamour, delivering a smoldering yet natural look and letting her accessories take over.
Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys, entrepreneur, author and newly crowned Broadway playwright, stole the spotlight at the Met Gala with glam from her holistic beauty and skincare line, Keys Soulcare. “[Keys' looks] perfectly balanced elegance with a touch of shimmer,” her makeup artist, Dotti, said in a press statement. “Her glowing complexion, neutral lip and subtle gold sparkle seamlessly complemented her outfit, creating a look that was both feminine and undeniably powerful.”
Laura Harrier
Shining from head to toe, Laura Harrier stunned in a sequined gown, with her makeup painted on by none other than Harold James, L’Oréal Paris Creative Director & Global Makeup Artist. “We went for fresh, glowing skin while keeping the focus on her gorgeous eyes,” James said in a press statement. “I wanted her skin to pop, so I applied the L’Oreal Paris “Lumi Le Glass” Highlighter Sticks to the highpoints of her cheekbones. To ensure the look lasted all night, we set with the “Infallible” 3-Second Setting Spray.”
Dua Lipa
Rocking kiss curls and an all-black ensemble, Dua Lipa‘s longtime makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes went for “edgy feminine.” Wearing all YSL Beauty, she used the “Candy Glaze” Lip Gloss and “Loveshine” Lip Oil Stick to create a juicy, high-shine pout to add a touch of softness to her look.
Paloma Elsesser
Paloma Elsesser took body glam into her own hands, massaging in Sol de Janeiro‘s “Brazilian Bum Bum” Cream and “Bum Bum” Body Firmeza Oil for deeply nourished, supple skin that was Met Gala carpet–ready.
Miley Cyrus
Inspired by Miley’s tailored and fitted Alaïa look, celebrity hair stylist Bob Recine wanted to keep her hair “simple and extremely couture.” He used extensions from Great Lengths to give her ponytail some extra “oomph.” When it came to makeup, James Kaliardos, celebrity MUA for Maybelline, didn’t need much to give Cyrus a beautiful look. “Miley’s features are the statement. This was all about skin-enhancing, shaping, detailing and lengthening. We tailored the look to her, all with Maybelline New York products, making it easily replicable. She is the only mood board I need.”
