Valentino Garavani's New Nellcote Bag Is Bringing Boho Back

“An ode to freedom, spontaneity and the timeless allure of music.”

Maison Valentino is bringing boho back with the launch of its new Nellcôte bag. Described by the maison as “an ode to freedom, spontaneity and the timeless allure of music,” the new campaign taps into the free-spirited ethos of boho and takes inspiration from outdoor concerts and live music.

Lensed by Julie Greve and conceived by creative director Alessandro Michele, the new campaign captures a group of friends waiting in a sun-soaked field for live music to begin. Showcasing candid moments lying back in the grass, playing with a hula hoop and laughing, the new visuals aim to capture a sense of personal expression and real-life moments.

Taking inspiration from the bohemian energy prevalent in the late ’60s and early ’70s, the new campaign spotlights the “hippie-chic allure” of the Garavani Nellcôte family. Crafted from soft suede, the bag re-emerges in crossbody and tote iterations, complete with embroidered mirrors, geometric jacquard and floral detailing. The new sizes come shortly after the medium tote made its debut during the Spring/Summer 2025 showcase, now available in seasonal fabrics like grained calf and suede.
