Golfing Gets a Streetwear Update With the J.Lindeberg x Kangol Collaboration

Much more than just a bucket hat.

J.Lindeberg just launched a limited-edition collaboration with Kangol, merging streetwear with sports alongside a playfully updated logo. Much more than just the bucket hat commonly seen on festival fields, Kangol’s headwear dates back to 1920 with a deep connection to youth culture. Pairing this with J.Lindeberg’s approach to fashion-forward sportswear and golfing apparel, the two brands have created something that can be worn both on and off the course.

The collection’s bold graphic language features co-branded prints with Kangol’s recognizable kangaroo logo, but now holding a golf club (cute). It features performance headwear and apparel alongside a ready-to-wear line that includes hoodies, graphic tees and football jerseys, all blurring the fashion-sportswear line. A highlight of the collection is the New York City Golf Kit, designed specifically for urban golfers who shift between navigating the subway and the precision of the fairway. You’ll find a multi-pocket waterproof jacket with zip-off sleeves, a golf club harness and of course, a packable bucket hat.

Neil Lewty, Chief Creative Officer at J.Lindeberg, says, “We wanted to create something that speaks to a new generation of athletes and style-conscious individuals.” While Paula Calvert, Global Creative Director at Kangol, adds, “This collaboration was a natural and obvious fit. The brands share the same ethos of boldness, wild patterns, bright pops of color and the feeling the consumer embodies when stepping out from the norm wearing Kangol or J.Lindeberg.”

The collection is now available to buy on the J.Lindeberg and Kangol websites.
