Miley Cyrus Is the New Global Face of Maybelline

The star reimagined the “Maybe it’s Maybelline” jingle.

Maybelline has just announced Miley Cyrus as its new global spokesperson. The brand says that Cyrus’ unapologetic confidence and ties to the beauty world are the main reason for the partnership. Additionally, the star has released her own version of the “Maybe it’s Maybelline” jingle, in hopes of ushering the brand into a new era.

For Cyrus, beauty is a big part of her identity as an artist — because of this, working with Maybelline felt personal. “This partnership brings together two core parts of me. You can’t erase makeup from music. Within music, there’s performance and honesty — makeup enhances both. It’s how I tell my truth without saying a word. Maybelline shares my belief that makeup should be expressive, ever-evolving. Partnering with Maybelline, a brand that celebrates meaningful values, self-expression and play, felt like the most natural fit in this stage of my life,” the singer says in a press release.

As the brand’s global face, Cyrus will star in more launches in an attempt to bridge the gap between her passion for makeup and her music career. Additionally, the brand says her creativity as an artist is bound to bring a more personal lens to the beauty world. Harping on the duo’s shared interest for empowering their audience, the campaign is only the start of the long-term partnership.
