Loro Piana's SS26 Is All About Color, Texture and Shape

Mastering fibers, the Maison looks to perfect tones.

Loro Piana has unveiled its latest Spring/Summer 2026 collection. While revered for its material compositions and sleek silhouettes, this season the Italian Maison is experimenting with color and tones — furthering its mastery beyond fabrics.

Delving into the nuances behind its legacy, from materials to high-quality constructions, it’s the colors that make up this rich history that take center stage. As textures like cashmere, silk and Merino wool form the foundation of the collection, these are dressed in neutral, earthy tones that blend seamlessly with bold accents of red, yellow, marigold, turquoise, pinks, and blues.

Blurring the lines between sculpture and function, a highlight of this offering is the exaggerated felt hats – coming in a variety of shapes and styles that serve as a key statement piece to any look. This season also sees some of the Maison’s iconic styles revived: the Maremma jacket comes in a bomber iteration; the Spagna in Mustique linen; and the Traveller in organdy.

Form, another pillar of Loro Piana’s DNA, is exhibited through loose volumes and relaxed silhouettes. Sleek tailoring that straddles casual wearability and formality features elongated band collar jackets, single-breasted and shawl collared blazers, and double-breasted cash silk blousons that are paired with wide-leg trousers, long shorts, or skirts. Mixing its texture and fabric expertise, silk summer tweed, brushed alpaca coats, and cashmere hoodies complement the remainder of the collection, while evening wear and outerwear also follow the laid-back draped flow.

Bringing the theme to summer in the outdoors, Loro Piana introduces a range of boating looks inspired by sailing sensibilities, evident through its stripes and cotton wool Punto Milano peacoats, and all-over color-block and floral graphic prints.

In signature Loro Piana style, the range of accessories doesn’t disappoint either. Leather goods — such as the Extra Softy Bag and the Extra Softy Case — arrive in buttery leathers, while new styles, including the Gioia Shopper tote and the Lotus Basket, provide essential beach-ready options. The minimalist Just Bag, inspired by an everyday paper bag, however, is taking refined simplicity to the next level.

In addition to the ready-to-wear collection, Loro Piana goes back to its roots and iconic styles by launching two new cashmere palimpsests: the Sergio program of essentials; and the Cedar Treccia program showcasing classic cable knits.

Translating the collection’s colorful theme to a physical showcase, the Maison will be presenting the SS26 looks today (September 24) at the heritage landmark building Palazzo Citterio for Milan Fashion Week. The palace, which has been home to traditional and contemporary artworks from the likes of Picasso, Modigliani, and more, sets the stage to take viewers on a journey of Loro Piana’s legacy.
