GANNI Just Reworked the New Balance Sneaker Loafer

The 1906L like you’ve never seen it before.

New Balance first dropped its controversial sneaker loafer in January 2024 and since then, we’ve been treated to a wealth of new colorways, fabrications and textures. However, since the brand’s collaborative pair with Junya Watanabe, no one else has braved the silhouette, until now.

Evolving its collaboration with GANNI, which previously resulted in bright yellow sneakers and four versions of the T500, the newest version of the 1906L blends the best of both their worlds.

Merging the effortless ease of a running sneaker with the polished and elevated stance of a loafer, the new collaboration is crafted with a sturdy rubber sole and GANNI’s signature snake print on its upper.  Complete with a metal GANNI butterfly logo on its loafer strap, the shoe also features the signature New Balance logo. Alongside the snake print, the shoe features hits of shiny patent black and silver across the midsole and toebox.

To celebrate the new release, GANNI and New Balance enlisted rising music artist Samara Cyn to showcase the silhouette, exploring themes of duality, fearlessness and self-expression. Bound by the idea that “no one is ever just one thing,” the campaign explores the many facets of one’s personality through contrasting looks and layering.

Take a look at the new collaboration above, now available for purchase via GANNI.
