Our Favorite Fashion Moments From the 2025 US Open

Bejewelled Labubus, fluffy racket bags and an Audrey Hepburn dress stole the show.

This year’s US Open kicked off on August 24 with the first round of singles matches, and has since seen numerous celeb appearances, fashion moments and some seriously tense tennis. Seeing fashion moments at this year’s tournament is hardly surprising, given we’ve seen a ton of sports stars in fashion campaigns and tennis courts often making the perfect backdrop for runway shows. The relationship between the two worlds only seems to be growing with each tournament, and this year’s US Open really pulled out all the stops.

Star players have long been connected with luxury kits, with recent examples like Roger Federer‘s custom blazers, Serena Williams‘ catsuit and Billie Jean King‘s sleeveless lace mini dresses. Elsewhere, long-term fashion partnerships like Coco Gauff and Miu Miu, Jannik Sinner and Gucci and Carlos Alcaraz and Louis Vuitton are just some of the recent success stories.

With many of the younger viewers’ interests spanning both fashion and sports worlds, it also draws more interest from this fanbase. The ATP’s Senior Vice President of marketing, Andrew Walker, shared with the New York Times that investment in fashion will quadruple next year, with the aim of developing an equivalent to the NBA tunnel walk. While we wait with bated breath for this, we take a look at this year’s already-impressive and show-stopping style.

Scroll down for some of our favorite fashion from this year’s tournament, including a custom Labubu, a fluffy racket bag and a Breakfast at Tiffany’s dress.

Naomi Osaka and Her Outfit-Matching Labubus

Naomi Osaka, Tennis, US Open, Sportswear

It’s hard to pick just one moment when it comes to Osaka’s looks this tournament. She strutted onto the court for her very first game in a full red Nike fit, complete with a matching bejewelled Labubu named Billie Jean Bling (get it?). It didn’t stop there, either, with her next custom look also featuring another matching iteration of the viral figurine. Dressed brightly and playing sharply, it would be nearly impossible for you to miss the player this season.

Venus Williams in Custom Who Decides War

Venus Williams won the second round of women’s doubles in a custom Who Decides War embellished look. Styled by Ronald Burton III, it was inspired by a look from the Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Designed in spandex and mesh with a studded leather trim, the New York-based brand perfectly merged athleticism with high-fashion artistry.

Trinity Rodman Supporting Her Boyfriend, Ben Shelton

Naomi Osaka, Tennis, US Open, Sportswear

The USWNT soccer player, Trinity Rodman, went all out in support of her boyfriend Ben Shelton. She wore a head-to-toe custom outfit that featured his name and photo plastered on the pants. As a result, the pair are definitely on their way to becoming this year’s sporting power couple.

Jessica Pegula in Y-3

Naomi Osaka, Tennis, US Open, Sportswear

Y-3 launched its US Open collection on August 16, and we were recently treated to the on-court debut with Jessica Pegula. Taking inspiration from the Japanese ink techniques of “Suibokuga,” emulating the appearance of fossilized amber, the white mini-dress with the signature graphic was a refreshing on-court fit.

Venus Williams’ Shearling ERL Racket Bag

Naomi Osaka, Tennis, US Open, Sportswear

We couldn’t pick just one Williams look this tournament. The star player stepped onto the court with a fluffy shearling racket bag by ERL that stole the show. While she didn’t secure a win in this match, she definitely served with the accessory.

Maria Sharapova’s Audrey Hepburn-Inspired Look

Naomi Osaka, Tennis, US Open, Sportswear

Maria Sharapova was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame while wearing an updated version of the dress that, according to some, changed the sport. 19 years ago, the athlete won the US Open title wearing a black tennis dress inspired by Audrey Hepburn‘s Givenchy look in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, becoming one of the first to combine fashion and function in the sport. Today, she wore a mid-length version with the same sparkling collar, honoring the moment.

Novak Djokovic’s Custom Lacoste Jacket

Lacoste has carried out some serious work to celebrate Novak Djokovic this season. The show-stopping piece of this tournament was a custom jacket worn as he entered the court. The exclusive white windbreaker designed by Creative Director Pelagia Kolotouros featured an embroidered map with four tennis balls marking the locations of all the Grand Slams. On top of this, the brand also designed a line celebrating Djokovic as the G.O.A.T. by replacing its infamous crocodile logo with a goat.

Vera Wang In a Satin Slip Dress

Naomi Osaka, Tennis, US Open, Sportswear

A regular attendee of the US Open and rarely missing a match, designer Vera Wang took to the blue carpet on day seven in a satin slip dress paired with an Alaïa handbag. The off-court look definitely aced the day for us.

Jeremy Allen White in Louis Vuitton

Naomi Osaka, Tennis, US Open, Sportswear

We couldn’t finish this list off without including an It-boy moment, and who better than Jeremy Allen White wearing none other than Louis Vuitton. While the black polo and chinos may not deserve “fashion moment” status, the understated look is the perfect way to fit into the elegant crowd, accessorized with a Tambour watch and signature smoulder.
