The Best Tunnel Fits of the 2025 WNBA Season, So Far

Take a look at the leagues best players and their looks.

There’s a running joke that no one watches the WNBA – that was until last year. From A’ja Wilson’s custom looks to Angel Reese‘s love for high fashion – oh, and don’t forget Ellie the Elephant’s influencer status – the WNBA tunnel has become the girls’ runway.

If you’re new to the sport, and frankly, just here for the fits, the tunnel refers to the walkway from the locker room to the court. Here, you’ll see star players like Reese, Paige Bueckers and DiJonai Carrington effortlessly merging style and sport, before hitting the court.

As the 2025 WNBA season kicks off, there’s already a 113% increase in interest, with ticket prices soaring to over $1k USD. Interest is growing – and it’s not just because of the game. The fashion moments leading up to the game range from androgynous to hyper-feminine while also tapping trends we know and love. As league interest grows, the tunnel gives the girls a chance to showcase their true selves through style.

The star of tunnel fashion this season is by far the center for the Connecticut Sun, Olivia Nelson-Ododa. Despite only being a week into the season, she’s already elevated the simple all-black look with a structured, larger-than-life co-ord. Elsewhere, Dallas Wings’ guard Carrington enjoys tapping several aesthetics. Whether she’s serving functional fashion in athleisure or rocking Western vibes with cowhide, she pairs it with diamonds or her Tiffany necklace.

Continue reading for our favorite tunnel fits from the 2025 WNBA season.

A’ja Wilson

Proclaimed the best dressed of the opening season by ESPN, Wilson started the season strong with a Nike collab, releasing her first design. This year, she dominated WNBA All-Star weekend from hilarious courtside interviews to the energy she walked through the tunnel with. Her fit channeled the sporty moto trend with an oversized jersey styled as a top, knee-high stiletto boots and blacked out shades.

Angel Reese

If she’s not at the MET Gala or on the cover of Vogue, she’s on the court or making the tunnel her runway. The 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend was without a doubt Reese’s runway. She debuted two new looks that commanded attention, the first was on the Orange Carpet, donning an animal print floor-length look that gave The Matrix. Her next look was a seductive leather pantsuit that gave the same mysterious feel. She styled the leather pantsuit with a collared shirt with a few buttons undone for added sex appeal.

Courtney Williams

Known for her androgynous style, Williams’ best tunnel fit this season is by far her monochrome grey moment. In a white tank, oversized grey graphic hoodie and oversized grey denim, #10 kept it cozy and androgynous, per usual. She added a touch of vibrancy with yellow frame sunnies.

DiJonai Carrington

If there’s one aesthetic Carrinton loves, it’s Western. Typically in a cowboy hat, the Dallas Wings player brings her vision to life with key accessories and animal print. Before a recent game against the Connecticut Sun, however, Carrington switched it up with a fire Y2k-inspired fit. Donning a white I AM GIA set, she paired it with a white bandana, sneakers — and her diamonds, of course.

Isabelle Harrison

Ranked 15th in the WNBA in rebounding, Harrison is dominating on and off the court. Most recently, the NY Liberty guard recently partnered with Swarovski for their tunnel walk, wearing a Jordan Air diamond necklace.

Kelsey Plum

A lover of sexy and sporty fits, Plum arrived in a luxurious look. To this year’s All-Star tunnel, she styled a leather top with formal pants and our favorite, a pointy heel. Adding drama to the moment, she wore oversized sunnies.

Nneka Ogwumike

basketball, 2025, WNBA, womens, angel Reese, dijonai carrington, Paige bueckers, Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Kelsey plum

#3 of the Seattle Storm arrived at the WNBA All-Star Game in a vibrant printed knit dress. She paired the moment with zebra print knee-high boots for the hottest maximalist look.

Olivia Nelson-Ododa

As mentioned above, Connecticut Sun forward, Nelson-Ododa holds the crown for the best tunnel fits — every season. Whether she’s subverting the usual little black dress or keeping it cute, schoolgirl style, her tunnel looks are always hyperfeminine and unique.

Paige Bueckers

basketball, 2025, WNBA, womens, angel Reese, dijonai carrington, Paige bueckers, Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Kelsey plum

Bueckers has already secured magazine covers and New York Fashion Week seats, and it’s with good reason. Her style effortlessly blends feminine and masculine influences, resulting in the calmest tunnel fits. Most recently, she was styled by NY icon Dapper Dan, rocking a pink and orange sweatsuit and Nike’s.

Rickea Jackson

One thing this Los Angeles Sparks player will do is make a statement. From chic miniskirts to wearable art, Jackson’s style is a bold fusion of classy and baddie. Most recently, the rising star wore a sculptured set by designer Corii Burns. Channeling high fashion, she wore dramatic lashes with metallic liner and a tousled bun.

Jackson is quickly becoming the league’s fashion girly and putting emerging designers on our radar – cue that Corii Burns moment. So much so, we broke our own rules and had to feature two best looks versus the usual one.

Ahead of the LA Sparks and Indiana Fever game in July, the #2 forward wore a denim 3.1 Phillip Lim set. Presented during Phillip Lim’s Spring/Summer 2025 anniversary show, Lim’s collection featured structural denim looks that were styled separately. Here, Jackson’s stylist Daquan Earle styles both pieces together, delivering an avant-garde take on the Canadian tuxedo, which frankly, is the perfect match for Jackson’s taste.

Rae Burrell

basketball, 2025, WNBA, womens, angel Reese, dijonai carrington, Paige bueckers, Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Kelsey plum With a love for streetwear, Burrell is constantly making a case for functional yet fly fits. For her, nothing is off limits, whether she’s rocking a pair of printed overalls or an asymmetrical co-ords. But there’s one accessory she’ll never forget: her bold sunnies. When she is in baddie mode, she often plays with bold elements like full leather fits, as well as bold colors and textures.

Sabrina Ionescu

#20 of the New York Liberty kept her All-Star arrival sporty and chic with a fire matching set. The beige jacket and pleated skirt set featured a bedazzled Nike logo across the front and was paired with Nike sneakers, of course.

Skylar Diggins

WNBA legend Skylar Diggins did not come to play in a gorgeous off-white suit – with a floor-length train. Drowning in jewel detailing, Diggins paired the look with aviators and white chunky heels.

Sophie Cunningham
basketball, 2025, WNBA, womens, angel Reese, dijonai carrington, Paige bueckers, Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Kelsey plum

On June 14, Sophie Cunningham served officecore baddie — in an elevated three-piece ensemble. Donning a light grey vest, tailored shorts and a blazer, Cunningham kept it classy and stole the show. Oh, and despite her May 30 ankle injury, she didn’t hesitate to pair the moment with heels.

In other news, here’s your playbook to becoming a WNBA stylist.
