Albino & Preto and Oakley Launch Their First Global Jiu-Jitsu Collection

Is martial arts about to have a moment?

It’s about time that martial arts had its fashion moment and clearly, we’re not the only ones who think so. Albino & Preto (A&P) and Oakley just launched their first-ever jiu-jitsu collection, redefining it as more than just a sport, but a lifestyle, too.

The new collaboration offers a unique approach to martial arts apparel for both performance and everyday wear. Following a series of collaborations between the two brands that were exclusively friends and family drops, team kits and fan giveaways, this new release marks the first time they are releasing a collection to the public. With sportswear increasingly finding its place in everyday fashion, from boxing shorts and football jerseys to tennis skirts, it seems that martial arts apparel might just be the next big thing.

The collection’s hero piece is a limited-edition Gi with co-branded patchwork and embroidery details, alongside a Nogi set with rashguards. The collaboration wouldn’t be complete without some statement eyewear rounding it out, landing in the form of the new A&P x Oakley Eye Jacket sunglasses, featuring ember-tinted Prizm lenses and custom frame accents.

Throughout the collection, you’ll also find subtle belt-ranking colors as a design nod to the jiu-jitsu sport and solidifying the fashion potential of the pieces. Whether you’re here with a jiu-jitsu red belt or love the Oakley sunglasses for their potential rave-girl aesthetic, jiu-jitsu has got you covered. Will this be the next trend taking over the fashion-sportswear crossover?

The collection will be available from September 3 via the Oakley website and select retail stores, with a second chapter of the collaboration set to launch at a later date.
