Sam McKnight Is Taking Hair to New Heights at Dsquared2
Featuring gravity-defying ponytails and slick-backs.
In Milan, Dsquared2 and hair stylist Sam McKnight redefined the way we see volume. For the Italian fashion label’s Fall/Winter 2026 show, McKnight took cues from the collection’s snowy-inspired aesthetic to dream up gravity-defying ponytails and voluminous slick-backs. For his runway debut, Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams sported his signature long hair styled to perfection.
“Snowboarding boys meet après-ski rebels, with space-age, après-ski girls bringing the attitude,” the hair stylist says in a press release. While the female models donned slope-ready updos and the vintage-inspired wet look, male models leaned into their natural hair textures — thanks to products from McKnight’s hair care collection.

To achieve such monumental volume, McKnight began by spraying the brand’s SuperLift Root Volumising Spray into the roots and sides. Next, he blow dried the hair at the roots and began brushing up. To lock it in place, the hair stylist then applied a hairspray for a glossy, editorial finish. Lastly, the look was completed with the Love Me Do — a hair oil formulated to deliver added glow, perfect for the runway.
