Balenciaga's Skiwear Collection Is Made for the Slopes and the Streets
Gearing up for the colder months with a high-performance wardrobe you’ll want to wear beyond the mountains.
Balenciaga is gearing up for snow season with its latest skiwear collection, bringing high-performance technology to the après-ski wardrobe. Designed by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, the Skiwear 2026 lineup blends mountain gear with the house’s signature oversized silhouettes and streetwear sensibility.
Built to withstand the elements, the collection introduces thermoregulating down outerwear, smart textiles and insulated layers designed for serious protection from the elements and real durability. Select jackets also feature reflectors, which help professional rescuers locate wearers in an emergency. From cropped puffers and reversible blousons to high-collar parkas and snow pants, the range balances functionality with fashion-forward details, including reflective graphics, faux fur and hand-drawn prints inspired by animal hide in high-visibility hues.
The accessories are just as cold, with Balenciaga’s Le City, Le 7 and Rodeo bags returning in winter-ready materials, including merino shearling and waxed suede. Elsewhere, the footwear lineup features chunky Alaska boots, flatform mules and Arctic styles. Ski masks, mirrored sunglasses, earmuffs and balaclava-style hoods complete the cold-weather offering, covering you from head to toe.
Lensed by Adam Peter Johnson, with video by Robbie Corral, the campaign places the collection inside distinctly Parisian interiors transformed by surreal snowfall, highlighting its versatility beyond the mountains. If you’ve not got plans to hit the slopes this winter, don’t worry, you can still walk around in your Balenciaga jacket and ear muffs.
Whether you’re in the mountains or simply dressing for sub-zero temperatures, Balenciaga has convinced us to bring technical outerwear into our everyday rotation. The Skiwear collection is now available via the Balenciaga website.
In other news, Prada released a hand-drawn holiday campaign starring Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke.
